IASP Seeks the Next Editor-in-Chief of PAIN
IASP is seeking applications for the new Editor-in-Chief of PAIN to oversee the journal from 2023–2027.
The Editor-in-Chief search committee is looking for candidates who have a broad knowledge of the nature, mechanisms, and treatment of pain and can support a multidisciplinary forum to disseminate basic and applied pain research.
PAIN is published monthly and as of 2020 has a 6.961 Impact Factor, placing it 4th of 33 in Anesthesiology, 23rd of 208 in Clinical Neurology, and 39th of 273 in Neurosciences.
The ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate a compelling strategic vision for the journal’s development and differentiation both from IASP’s Open Access journal, PAIN Reports and from other reputable journals in the field.
Hold outstanding academic achievement, as well as excellent communication and collaboration leadership skills.
The search committee seeks a candidate with a profound commitment to inclusion, diversity, access, equity, and a clear understanding of trends in scientific journal publishing.
